Zoltan James is the pen name of Z. J. Czupor, an aspiring author of fiction, essays, short stories and tall tales. I type with all eight fingers, two thumbs, and engage one brain (usually).
I was born in Osterode, Germany to loving Hungarian parents who were forced to escape their homeland at the end of WWII. I was raised in Lawrence, Kansas and moved to Denver, Colorado where my wife and I co-founded The InterPro Group, an exceptional (if I do say so myself) public relations and marketing consulting firm (www.interprogroup.com). We represent Fortune 500 Divisions, business and nonprofit associations, and dynamic start ups. In addition to consulting, we also do and we teach.
When I am not writing or reading, I love God, golf, collies, the Jayhawks, beaches and mountains, baseball, and pumpkin pie.
My favorite authors are W. Somerset Maugham, William Faulkner, John Steinbeck, F. Scott Fitzgerald, James Thurber, and Nelson DeMille, among many others — and the list continues to grow. My favorite poets are Robert Frost, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Walt Whitman, and Edna St. Vincent Millay (primarily because we share the same birthday).
I live in Denver with my wife, Marta, and split my time between the main floor and the lower level of our rambling ranch home, down near the old dry creek bed, south of town, across the dirt road from the Conoco station, and downwind from the Ostrich farm.
