Another Season Comes Round

by Zoltan James

Colder are the days.

Darker are the nights.

Our blue earth tilts.

Great geese take flight.

Mystic winds stir old dreams.

Brittle leaves flitter and fall.

Another season comes ‘round,

Do you hear the call?

The short days count down.

Another year ends.

What did we do?

Did we make amends?

The winter winds howl.

Stormy snows fall.

Another season comes ‘round,

Do you hear the call?

Steeple bells in concert ring.

Choirs of winged angels sing.

Strong men bend on knee.

In hopes of what One may bring.

We trim the tree.

We wreath the hall.

Another season comes ‘round,

Do you hear the call?

‘Tis time to gather and collect.

To pause in heart and reflect.

What is our reason?

What is our effect?

Another season comes ‘round,

Do you hear the call?

Go and be peace on earth.

Give goodwill to all.
